"HOW MANY MOMENTS WINTER HOLDS? CYCLES"

A cycle of 52 paintings on handmade paper
and complementary large-format paintings
23 January 2026

The series of 52 paintings on handmade paper is a year-long, rhythmic dialogue conducted by the artist with nature as it changes from week to week — with light, with the texture of the air, with seasonality (…). Handmade paper, combined with clay-based paint and natural pigments, creates an organic tissue — resonating both with the character of August tansy and with the spruces frozen by a January evening.

The exhibition is an initiation into a cyclical story about the ephemeral — yet so constant in its inevitable fragility — pulse of nature, and about the painter enchanted by this pulse, who tries to keep pace with it.

“How many moments does winter have?” — this is a question addressed to anyone who, like the artist, would like to meditate on the possibilities of human attentiveness.

I warmly invite you to the Chłodna 20 Contemporary Art Gallery.

The exhibition is open until March 31, 2026.

The paintings from the exhibition have been made available on my website in the PAINTINGS section.
